Dubai has officially unveiled the Dubai Metro Gold Line, a landmark AED 34 billion project that will add a fully underground 42‑kilometre corridor with 18 new stations to the city’s rail network. Scheduled for completion on 9 September 2032, the Gold Line is set to become the largest transport expansion in Dubai's history, serving 1.5 million residents and connecting 15 key strategic areas.
A Major Boost to Dubai's Transport Network
The Gold Line will be Dubai's first fully underground metro line, reaching depths of up to 40 metres and featuring an advanced tunnel system twice the size of existing metro tunnels. Once operational, it will increase the Dubai Metro network by 25–35%, expanding it from 120 km to 162 km and raising the total number of stations to 85.Route & Key Areas Covered
