Dubai is preparing to bid farewell to one of its most recognisable mid‑century landmarks as the Toyota Building, officially known as the Nasser Rashid Lootah Building, moves into its final phase before demolition. After standing for 52 years along Sheikh Zayed Road, the structure is now almost fully vacated, marking the end of an era for a tower that has witnessed the city's transformation from a low‑rise desert corridor into a global skyline.

The 15‑storey building, completed in 1974, became a visual anchor for motorists and residents thanks to its prominent rooftop Toyota sign, first installed in 1981.
